NT DECO is a pH-neutral, water-based and low-VOC flame retardant for wood products. It provides a Euroclass B-s1, d0 reaction to fire performance with a clear or semi-translucent toned finish. The product is available in thousands of translucent tones for interior and exterior use. NT DECO is typically used for fire protection of cladding, bearing elements and interior wood products in multistorey buildings.
The Nordic Hues tone collection includes the most popular translucent tone options for fire protection of visible wood structures. On request, NT DECO flame retardant can be supplied in any other tone, too.
The colours displayed on the screen are digitally produced to match the colour on a planed spruce panel. Digitally produced colours are no substitute for real colour samples because our perception of colour is affected by e.g. wood species, surface finish, gloss, lighting conditions, etc. Please make sure you choose the final colour using treated wood panel samples available free of charge from Nordtreat.
NT DECO has been tested and classified according to:
NT DECO is suitable for CE marking of the following wood products according to EN 14915:2013:
The maintenance interval for solid wood panels and cladding treated with Nordtreat flame retardants is 5 to 15 years, depending on the structure, weather exposure and treatment method.
In indoor use, industrially treated, certified panel products as well as wooden surfaces treated during the construction phase, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, will maintain their fire protection properties throughout their life cycle unless the surfaces are mechanically damaged.
In outdoor use, industrially treated, certified wood products as well as those treated during the construction phase, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, will require re-treatment after 5 to 15 years. The re-treatment must be done using the same flame retardant that was originally used to treat the wood product.
