Nordtreat and SONGWON start strategic collaboration in sustainable fire retardant solutions for wood

Nordtreat and SONGWON Industrial Co., Ltd, the 2nd largest manufacturer of polymer stabilizers in the world, announced their strategic collaboration at K2019 fair in Düsseldorf, Germany in October 2019. The companies will be working together to further develop safer and more environmentally friendly fire retardant solutions for the global construction products market.

At K2019 held on October 16-23, 2019, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, SONGWON’s stand demonstrated the newly established cooperation with its booth built from wooden beams and coated with Nordtreat’s non-toxic fire retardant NT DECO.

“This partnership enables us to join forces and create new synergies in developing high-performing, sustainable fire retardants for wood as well as for other applications”, says Aki Borgentorp, CEO of Nordtreat.
