NORFLAM® W310 flame retardant

Bio-based NORFLAM^® W310 flame retardant (previously NT DECO) is a one-product solution for professional fire protection of interior and exterior wood cladding, panelling, ribbons, and interior CLT. The product can be used for other applications, too.

NORFLAM^® W310has passed EN 16755 (NT FIRE 054) durability of reaction to fire performance test.

Maintenance

Exterior applications

The maintenance interval for solid exterior wood cladding treated with NORFLAM^® W310 is 5 to 10 years, depending on the structure, weather exposure and treatment method.

In outdoor applications, wood cladding that was industrially, off-site or on-site treated according to the manufacturer's instructions will require re-treatment after 5 to 10 years. The re-treatment must be done using the same flame retardant originally used to treat the wood product.

Interior applications

In indoor use, wood cladding and CLT that was industrially, off-site or on-site treated according to the manufacturer's instructions will maintain fire protection properties throughout its life cycle unless the surfaces are mechanically damaged.
